Our content development methodology

The creation of eLearning Content is done through our five-step process, referred to as the ADDIE Model, which is iterative and incremental and includes the following stages:

  1. 1. Analysis
  2. During the analysis phase, we carry out a study to identify our targeted audience, which enables us to categorize their needs and current level of knowledge. This information enables us to determine the content and the ultimate objective of the proposed course. Based on the above information, we plan the overall scope of the project, which includes specification of the authoring mechanism and the best means of disseminating the course to its target end users while also planning out our overall evaluation strategy, which will help us to gauge the effectiveness of the course and make amendments where and if necessary, at the stage of evaluation.

  3. 2. Design
  4. During this phase, the team conducts the instructional design of the course, with the aid of flowcharts and storyboarding to ensure that all critical aspects/objectives are covered in the particular lesson. Afterwards, a prototype of the course is developed with screen designs and is demonstrated to a subset of the users to obtain their feedback.

  5. 3. Develop
  6. Once the necessary feedback has been recorded, development of the course thus, begins. The phase includes the production of audio and video content as well, which will be integrated to the course, to give it a rich, interactive feel, which ensures that the end user/student is kept captivated throughout the duration in which he/she follows the course.

  7. 4. Implementation
  8. Implementation involves the integration of the developed course in to a LMS. Since all our courses are developed to meet SCORM standards, any LMS which is SCORM compliant can be used as the platform in which to run the course.

  10. Finally, we conduct an evaluation which consists of quality assurance and testing to ensure that the course meets all stipulated standards and hence, meets the ultimate objective of the project owner. We also conduct an impact evaluation, to gauge the overall effectiveness of the course. According to the Cognition theory the process of knowledge acquisition is based on Knowledge, Reinforcement, Retention and Skill.
